Lizzie Miller developed a fascination with French baked goods after attending a wedding in Louisiana. With her parents' and bishop's permission, she completed a two-year internship at a French bakery in New Orleans. She then purchased a local Amish bakery and opened her own French-inspired bakery.
However, someone wants her out of business. During her grand opening, a strange man confronts her, and a brick with a threatening note is thrown through her window. Her apartment above the bakery is broken into, but her cat scares off the intruder.
With the support of her friends, Lizzie is determined to uncover why someone wants her to fail. Along the way, she discovers that sometimes dreams can be realized with what—or who—was always nearby, just waiting to be noticed.
